چکیده
Topological aspects of electron wavefunction play a crucial role in determining the physical properties materials. Berry curvature and Chern number are used to define topological structure electronic bands. While its effects materials have been studied, detecting changes invariant, number, is challenging. In this regard, twisted double bilayer graphene (TDBG) has emerged as promising platform gain electrical control over hotspots valley numbers flat addition, strain induced breaking three-fold rotation (C3) symmetry TDBG, leads non-zero first moment called dipole (BCD), which can be sensed using nonlinear Hall (NLH) effect. We reveal, that BCD detects transitions bands sign. perpendicular electric field tunes simultaneously allowing us tunable system probe physics transitions. Furthermore, we find hysteresis longitudinal NLH responses with attributed switching polarization moir\'e systems. Such hysteretic response holds promise for next-generation curvature-based memory devices. Probing transitions, show, emulated other 3D

Fabry-Pérot Resonances in a Graphene/hBN Moiré Superlattice.
While Fabry-Pérot (FP) resonances and Moiré superlattices are intensively studied in graphene on hexagonal boron nitride (hBN), the two effects have not been discussed in their coexistence. Here we investigate the FP oscillations in a ballistic pnp-junctions in the presence and absence of a Moiré superlattice. First, we address the effect of the smoothness of the confining potential on the visi...
متن کاملBerry curvature and energy bands of graphene
In this paper energy bands and Berry curvature of graphene was studied. Desired Hamiltonian regarding the next-nearest neighbors obtained by tight binding model. By using the second quantization approach, the transformation matrix is calculated and the Hamiltonian of system is diagonalized. With this Hamiltonian, the band structure and wave function can be calculated. By using calculated wave f...

متن کاملA pressure-induced topological phase with large Berry curvature in Pb1−xSnxTe
The picture of how a gap closes in a semiconductor has been radically transformed by topological concepts. Instead of the gap closing and immediately reopening, topological arguments predict that, in the absence of inversion symmetry, a metallic phase protected by Weyl nodes persists over a finite interval of the tuning parameter (for example, pressure P). The gap reappears when the Weyl nodes ...
متن کاملBerry Curvature in Graphene: a New Approach
In the present paper we have directly computed the Berry curvature terms relevant for Graphene in the presence of an inhomogeneous lattice distortion. We have employed the generalized Foldy Wouthuysen framework, developed by some of us [4, 5]. Our general expressions for Berry curvature, for the special case of homogeneous distortion, reduce to the previously obtained results [13]. We propose s...
